Margaret H. Wallace (Peg), 68, of Whispering Pines, NC, and formerly of Seven Lakes died on February 15. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 17th at the Powell Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines, 160 E New Hampshire Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Richmond, VA, and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She worked in various administrative capacities for several large corporations -- most recently Global Commerce Systems, Inc. She was a skilled amateur photographer of birds and loved all animals. She was an avid reader and loved to cook.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Haley.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jim Wallace of Whispering Pines; daughters: Jennifer and husband Christian Spies of Austin, TX, Theresa and husband Marty Rinehart of Charles Town, WV; and grandchildren: Chuck, Derek, Christa, and Abigail.
